I've been hard at work building up the boudoir side of my business. There is nothing i've done so far (photographically) that has been more rewarding than taking a busy mom, wife or executive and reminding her of how beautiful she is. Especially in this season of romance and heart! This is a sneak peek, in a few weeks I will be sharing more with you. Exciting stuff!

Well we have been really busy this month. At the beginning of the month we took care of the overflow of orders from December. Then I got busy with my year end. The finance stuff is not my favorite but because I was pretty consistent with my records for most of the year it was better than ever before! It still took two solid weeks of excel spreadsheets and receipt sorting! By the time I was done I wanted to get a medal or have a party but no one in my family was as excited as I was... Imagine! We had Rob's Birthday dinner last weekend and now we're planning Ben's party. On that note, I give you a peak at a picture from our last McIntyre studio session

I have been using my spare time (ha!) to organize all the new projects for the year and I have stumbled on to an extremely fantastic site that offers live online workshops for photographers (amateur and professional)It's called CreativeLive and I highly recommend it! It has been very hard for me to get any work done. I love taking classes in person and online but clients first! It is all about making my clients happy and well cared for after all! Next awesome thing this month is Boudoir!!!! I have to say, it's becoming my absolute favorite kind of session. The reactions I got from my clients and their friends is enough to boost my self esteem and confidence through the roof. I hope to get permission to post a few samples soon. Speaking of which guys, Valentines Day is just around the corner and I think a boudoir session gift certificate is the perfect gift... Everyone wins!!!

What's new for 2012?

We are launching a few new features this year. We are so excited about some of the software and tools that are being developed in our industry on a daily basis! It can be hard to keep up at times but we are up to challenge. My first introduction is this fabulous Wall Display guide which lets clients see what their favorite images can look like in their home. NO more arriving home with a 8x10 only to realize it look miniscule above the couch! You will be seeing many sample of these Display Guides in the months to come. Maybe even with YOUR pictures in them!

Fall Fun

This is such a great time of year for photography! It doesn't last long which makes every picture extra special to me. My mom is visiting

When my mom comes for a visit she stay for a month or more. She jumps into all the awesome programs that the rec centers offer and she cooks up a storm!!! (My waistline suffers but I LIKE IT!) We also enjoy the temperate Victoria weather! More Mammie photos to come.

Never the same

I love that no matter how many times I do the quick headshot session in the same location, same backdrops and equipment yet the results are always sooooooo different. I love, love love it!!!
